What is Wildcap #

Every launch on Robinhood Chain hatches something wild. Catch it first.

Wildcap is a 3D creature-catching game that runs on live chain data. The moment a token launches on Pons (Robinhood Chain’s launchpad), a creature hatches in the Wildcap Isles. It’s built from the token’s address, so no two look alike. Its level comes from the token’s market cap, it evolves when the token graduates, and its mood follows the last hour of price action.

Tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain show up too, as Legendaries. They get rowdy while the New York Stock Exchange is open.

You walk around, find creatures, throw Cap pods (acorns), and try to be the first trainer to catch each one. Catches score points for the weekly League, and wallet catches can join your Den. $WILD is the game token: burned for Caps and Den slots, and its trading tax feeds the reward pool.

Before $WILD launches, the game is already fully playable: catching, the Dex and points all work. The Mart and the Den open at launch · —.

How to play #

  1. Open /play/. Play as a guest straight away, or connect a wallet (needed for prizes, the Den and more daily Caps).
  2. Explore the four islands. Each holds different creatures (see Islands).
  3. Walk up to a creature to open its encounter card: name, rarity, level, mood and the token it hatched from.
  4. Throw. A ring shrinks around the creature. Throw when it’s small for a better shot.
  5. Watch the shakes. The Cap wobbles 0 to 3 times, then click: caught. Or it pops out and you can try again.

Controls #

Desktop

  • WASD or arrow keys to walk, hold Shift to run
  • Drag the mouse to turn the camera, wheel to zoom
  • Click the ground to walk there; click a creature to walk up and approach it
  • E or Enter to approach the nearest creature
  • Space to throw while the ring shrinks; 1 2 3 pick a Wild, Great or Ultra Cap
  • Esc to leave an encounter or close a panel

Phone & tablet

  • Left stick to walk; push it all the way to run
  • Drag the world to look around
  • Tap the ground to walk there; tap a creature to walk up and approach it, or use the big round button
  • In an encounter, tap Throw or anywhere on the scene; tap a cap to choose it; Leave to exit

Catching #

  • Every throw is decided by the server, never by your browser. See Fair play.
  • Shakes: the Cap wobbles 0 to 3 times before the result. More shakes means it was closer.
  • Flee: after — failed throws the creature runs off. An encounter also times out after —.
  • Shiny: about 1 in — spawns is shiny. Same creature, sparkly colours, more points and Den weight.
  • First catch: the first trainer ever to catch a token’s creature gets their name on its Dex card and a bonus (see Points).

Caps (balls) #

You get free Wild Caps every day (reset 00:00 UTC): — as a guest, — with a wallet, plus extras for holder tiers. Better Caps come from the Mart.

The throw ring #

The ring shrinks from full size down to — of it over —, then starts again. The smaller the ring when your throw reaches the server, the better the throw. The server corrects for your connection: it measures your round-trip time with a few pings and subtracts half of it (capped), so a slow connection isn’t punished.

Catch chance #

Chance = base rate for the rarity × stage × mood × rage × ball × throw quality, capped at —. Try it:

Catch chance—

Where creatures come from #

Every Pons V2 launch on Robinhood Chain hatches one creature, seconds after the launch transaction. The creature’s body, eyes, horns, ears, wings, tail, pattern and colours all come from a hash of the token address: the same token always gives the same creature. What changes over time is its level, stage and mood, because those follow the token’s live on-chain data.

Islands #

Where a creature lives is decided by its token’s on-chain state. Creatures move islands as their token grows up.

Rarity #

Rarity follows the token’s market cap in USD. Memecoins top out at Epic; Legendary is reserved for tokenized stocks.

Level & stage #

Level grows with the logarithm of market cap, from — up to —. Every 10× in market cap adds the same number of levels, so a tiny launch and a big one both move. Legendaries are always level —. Some examples:

Stage is about growing up:

Mood #

Mood follows the token’s price change over the last hour. Hyped creatures bounce around and are harder to catch; sleepy ones are an easy throw.

Legendaries & NYSE hours #

Tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain live on Ticker Peaks as Legendaries: —.

During New York Stock Exchange regular hours (Mon–Fri, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time) Legendaries rage: catch chance ×—, points ×—. Exchange holidays are ignored for now. Right now the NYSE is —.

Points #

Every catch scores points for this week’s League.

  • Shiny: points ×—.
  • Raging Legendary: points ×—.
  • First catch ever of a token’s creature: +—.
  • Throw quality bonus: see the ring table.

Guests score points too, but only wallet trainers with an active Den creature can win League prizes. Connect your wallet in /play/ to move guest progress over.

Fair play #

Wildcap is built so that nobody can cheat a catch, including us.

  • Your browser never decides anything. It doesn’t send a throw quality or a result. The server works out the ring size from its own clock: when the encounter started, when your throw arrived, minus half your measured round-trip time.
  • Rolls come from a committed daily seed. Before each UTC day starts, the server publishes commit = sha256(seed). The seed itself stays secret until the day is over, then it’s revealed. Once a commit is public, the seed can’t be swapped without breaking it.
  • Every roll is reproducible. For throw number i (starting at 0) in encounter eid: h = HMAC-SHA256(seed, "eid:i"), roll = first 8 bytes of h as a big-endian integer ÷ 264. Caught if roll < chance. The eid is derived from your player id and the spawn, so the server can’t shop for a lucky one.
  • Shinies too: HMAC-SHA256(seed, "shiny:" + sid), first 4 bytes mod — == 0.

Check a day yourself #

Pick a finished UTC day. This page fetches /api/seed/<day> and checks sha256(reveal) == commit right in your browser.

Pick a day and press Verify.

$WILD #

$WILD is the game token, launched on Pons on Robinhood Chain. Its utility is on-chain: you burn it in two small contracts, and its trading tax, sent to the pool by the team, funds the rewards. Nothing about it is a promise of value.

WildMart: Caps & lures #

Buy packs in the Mart inside /play/. Paying burns the $WILD (sent to 0x…dEaD) through the WildMart contract. The server reads the on-chain Purchase event and adds the items to your account.

Den: activate your catches #

Each wallet has — Den slots. Put a wallet catch in a slot by burning $WILD in the WildPool contract; it then earns a share of the reward stream by weight. The server signs a certificate for every wallet catch (EIP-712), and the contract checks it, so only real catches can be activated, each one only once.

Weight = rarity weight × tier multiplier × — if shiny. Weights by rarity and tier:

Deactivating frees a slot. Nothing is refunded, and that creature can’t be activated again. Rewards it already earned stay claimable.

Holder tiers #

Holding $WILD in your connected wallet gives daily perks. The server reads balances every few minutes. No staking, no lockup.

The reward pool #

  • $WILD has a — creator tax on Pons trades. Pons pays it to the team wallet (the launch wallet), and the team sends it to the WildPool contract by hand, regularly. Every top-up is a plain ETH transfer into WildPool, visible to anyone on the explorer.
  • This step is trust in the team: the contract can’t force the team to send. What the contract does guarantee is everything after the ETH arrives.
  • Incoming ETH is split: — streams to active Den creatures, — goes to the weekly League bucket.
  • The Den share streams over —, split by weight. Activating right after a big fee arrives can’t grab it, because it’s paid out over time.
  • No owner withdrawal. The contract has no function that lets anyone take pool funds out. ETH leaves only as Den claims or League prizes.
  • Rewards follow trading volume and the team’s top-ups. If nobody trades, or nothing is sent, nothing flows. Rewards can be zero.
  • Any $WILD that lands in the pool is burned.

League #

Weeks start —. When a week ends, the top — wallets on the board with at least — active Den creature share the League bucket. The server posts a Merkle root on-chain and each winner claims their own prize from the contract. Unclaimed prizes roll back into the bucket after a few weeks.

The contract enforces this too: a posted week can take at most — of the bucket, and no single wallet can claim more than — of a week. Even a bad Merkle root can’t drain the pool.

How to buy $WILD #

  1. Get a wallet like MetaMask or Rabby (browser extension or mobile app).
  2. Add Robinhood Chain to it (below, or one click with the button).
  3. Get ETH on Robinhood Chain. Bridge ETH in, or withdraw to Robinhood Chain from an exchange that supports it. Gas is tiny.
  4. Open Pons and paste the contract address below. Check it matches, character by character.
  5. Swap ETH for $WILD. Then come catch something.

Only trust the contract address on this site and pinned on @wildcapworld and our Telegram. Copycat tokens will appear. Admins never DM first.

Add Robinhood Chain to your wallet #

If your wallet doesn’t have it yet, add a network with these values:

Contracts #

All on Robinhood Chain (chain id —). The token address is connected to WildMart and WildPool once, after launch, and can never be changed.

The contracts are unaudited. Source and tests are published with the project.

If we disappear #

An honest answer to “what if the team vanishes?”

Keeps working without us

  • $WILD keeps trading on Pons. It’s a normal token.
  • ETH already in the pool keeps streaming. Anyone can call notify() on WildPool to start the stream for ETH that arrived. No key needed.
  • Den rewards keep streaming to active creatures, and you can claim() them straight from the contract with any block explorer.
  • Posted League weeks stay claimable from the contract with your proof.
  • Activation and upgrades keep working for catches that already have a certificate.
  • Nobody can withdraw the pool. There’s no admin function for it.

Stops without us

  • New spawns, encounters and catches. The game server runs the world and the rolls.
  • New catch certificates, so no new creatures can join a Den.
  • New League weeks: the server computes the board and posts the Merkle root.
  • Mart items are credited by the server after it reads your purchase.
  • New top-ups: the creator tax reaches the pool only when the team sends it.

FAQ #

Is this financial advice?

No. Wildcap is a game. A creature’s rarity, level or mood is a picture of public on-chain data, not a signal to buy or sell anything. $WILD has no promised value, and Den rewards can be zero.

Are creatures NFTs?

Not in v1. Catches live in the game, and wallet catches get a server-signed certificate that the Den contract accepts. Sealing creatures on-chain is an idea for later.

Guest or wallet?

Guests can play right away and score points. A wallet adds more daily Caps, Den activation, Mart purchases and League prizes. When you sign in with a wallet in the same browser, your guest progress moves over.

Why does a creature look the way it does?

Its shape and colours come from a hash of the token address, so they never change. Its level follows market cap, it evolves when the token graduates and again at a high market cap, and its mood follows the last hour of price. A scary-looking creature isn’t a bad token, and a cute one isn’t a good one.

Do I own the token by catching its creature?

No. Catching a creature doesn’t buy, sell or touch the token it came from.

Why didn’t my throw count?

The server times every throw from its own clock and your measured connection. If the encounter timed out, the creature fled, or you ran out of Caps, the throw is refused. Daily Caps reset at 00:00 UTC.

Is Wildcap part of Robinhood or Pons?

No. Wildcap is an independent community game that reads public data from Robinhood Chain and Pons. Not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, Inc., Pons, or any company whose tokenized stock appears in the game.

Disclaimer #

$WILD is a community game token on Robinhood Chain with no expectation of financial return. Creatures are drawn from public on-chain data; a creature is not the token it comes from and says nothing about its value. Den rewards depend on trading volume and can be zero. Burned $WILD is gone for good. The contracts are unaudited and may contain bugs. Crypto is risky: only use what you can afford to lose.
